Wassail! An Anglo-Saxon Yule Celebration

What better way to ring in the holiday season than with revelry and merriment in the Anglo-Saxon tradition? Visit National Geographic for a daylong festival of music, crafts, and weaponry. Interpreted by members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, features include a warrior in full armor, a brewing station with tastings, a weaving demonstration, and a staged reading of "Beowulf."

This workshop is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Anglo-Saxon Hoard: Gold From England's Dark Ages.
